Motorists in the Hawkesbury and surrounding areas are being advised of upcoming night roadworks on The Driftway, with Transport for NSW confirming changed traffic conditions from Sunday 22 February 2026.

The night works will take place on The Driftway between Blacktown Road and Londonderry Road, with activities focused on both major intersections along the route.

Works at the Londonderry Road intersection are scheduled from Sunday 22 February to Thursday 26 March 2026, while works at the Blacktown Road intersection will run from Sunday 1 March to Thursday 19 March 2026, weather permitting.

Night shifts will operate between 7pm and 5am, Sunday to Thursday. Additional construction activities will continue during standard work hours, which are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. No work will take place on Sundays or public holidays.

During the construction period, motorists can expect temporary traffic changes, including lane closures and reduced speed limits of between 40km/h and 60km/h within work zones. Traffic controllers will be on site to assist motorists and pedestrians when required.

Transport for NSW is urging road users to plan ahead, observe posted speed limits, and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signage to ensure safety for workers and the community.

Transport for NSW has thanked motorists for their patience while the essential works are carried out.
