A chilly winter day was forecast but it turned into a picture-perfect Sunday on June 22, as members of the Bentley Drivers Club gathered for the much-anticipated Kurrajong Run.
The destination was the Archibald Hotel in Kurrajong Heights, where manager Tom extended a warm welcome to drivers and guests. The hotel’s car park quickly became a lively scene of polished bonnets, proudly shown engines, and animated conversation, as members caught up and positioned their prized vehicles for display.
Among the standout arrivals was new member John Sergeant, who turned heads with his striking green Bentley Special convertible — notably without a roof. With clear skies and sunshine, John said he couldn’t have asked for better weather. He was joined by his guest and co-driver George Tellidis.
True to tradition, members brought along guests to share in the camaraderie and charm of the day. Brian Burgoyne impressed by arriving with five guests in tow. Graeme and Toni Ellis introduced local resident Brian Milne-Davies, whose engaging company was a highlight. Paul O’Donnell brought along work colleague Anna Roach, while Garrath Will was joined by Trevor Butler, a fellow Bentley devotee.
There was a collective thrill as John Lackey pulled in behind the wheel of his 1924 3-Litre W.O. Bentley — a rare sight on today’s roads. The historic motor drew admiration from all, its appearance reminding everyone of the enduring legacy of the Bentley marque.
Adding to the spectacle, Stephen Blundell arrived in a T-Series two-door Continental, currently under his care on behalf of Coralie Ogle. The vehicle was in immaculate condition and drew many admiring glances.

Also spotted were Anthony Ralph and his mother Toni, proudly cruising in their Continental GT — a modern contrast to the vintage treasures parked nearby.
The staff at the Archibald Hotel showed great hospitality, even accommodating two seating reshuffles before the group settled on the outdoor covered deck, taking in spectacular views of the Hawkesbury Valley.
With sunshine overhead, good food, and great company, it was another memorable day out in the Bentleys — blending history, horsepower, and heart in the beautiful hills of Kurrajong.
