Bilpin Cider Co. has celebrated its strongest results to date at the 2024 Australian Cider Awards, earning accolades across the full range of products and reaffirming Bilpin’s place among Australia’s leading orchard-based cider makers.
The highlight of the awards was Bilpin Blush Pink Lady Cider, which took home the Trophy for Best Single Varietal Cider as well as Best in Class. Crafted from 100% Pink Lady apples grown in Bilpin’s cool-climate orchards, the Blush cider is known for its purity, elegance, and orchard-fresh character qualities now recognised at a national level.
Other successes included:
- Gold Medal: Bilpin Original Cider
- Two Silver Medals and seven Bronze Medals across both alcoholic and non-alcoholic lines, including Bilpin Pear, Archibald Cloudy Apple, High’n’Dry, and the non-alcoholic Apple and Apple & Raspberry ciders
In total, Bilpin Cider collected eleven medals and a major trophy, showcasing not only the quality of individual products but also the consistency of craft throughout the entire range.
“These results are a testament to the dedication of our orchard team and the craftsmanship of our cider makers,” said a spokesperson for Bilpin Cider. “The unique environment of Bilpin with its cool nights, altitude, and rich soil produces apples with exceptional flavour.”
As the orchard heads into another harvest season, the awards energise the team’s commitment to making ciders that reflect Bilpin, the region, and the belief that great cider starts with great fruit.
Bilpin Cider is proud to bring a little bit of the Mountains to every bottle, and this year’s awards confirm that the orchard is in excellent shape indeed.
