24 March from 10am to 12pm

Table of Contents

Members of the Hawkesbury Aboriginal community are being invited to connect with local services and organisations at an upcoming Aboriginal Community Outreach Day in Richmond.

The event is being hosted by the Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury, providing an opportunity for community members to meet directly with organisations and learn more about the services available to support them.

The outreach day will take place on Tuesday, 24 March from 10am to 12pm at 2/20 West Market Street, Richmond.

Connecting Community With Support Services

The event is designed as a relaxed space where community members can come together, have a yarn, and speak with organisations that provide support across a range of areas.

Representatives from local services will be available to talk about programs and assistance that may be available to community members and their families.

Organisers say the outreach day aims to strengthen connections between the Aboriginal community and the organisations that work alongside them.

'The Outreach is a place for community to meet with service providers in a community space and feel supported by Aboriginal workers of Merana'
'Everyone is welcome even if it is to just have a cuppa and a yarn and hopefully find out what services are available especially at Merana' says Melissa Stubbings, Admin of Merana

A Place to Yarn and Learn

Events such as these provide an important opportunity for people to ask questions, share experiences and build stronger relationships with local services in a welcoming environment.

Community members are encouraged to drop in during the morning, connect with others and learn about the support networks available across the Hawkesbury.
