As Hawkesbury continues to grapple with a worsening housing shortage, a new chapter is unfolding that offers a ray of optimism for homebuyers. Civil works have now begun at Cumberland Place, the newest stage of the Redbank North Richmond master planned community bringing much-needed new housing opportunities to the region.

With demand for homes across Western Sydney at record highs, Redbank’s latest release is seen as a welcome development for families seeking the space provided by a semi-rural environment and lifestyle without compromising on convenience.

Construction crews are now on site, building streets, services, and parkland links that will soon shape the new Cumberland Place precinct. This new release area will replicate the tree-lined streets, rolling parklands, and network of walking trails that give residents of Redbank the feeling of country living.

Redbank Village now has a new retail and dining hub already buzzing with local life, as well as parks, playgrounds, and scenic walking trails that weave throughout the estate. It’s a model of how Hawkesbury housing developments can deliver homes and build communities.

"I adore living at Redbank, the estate is beautifully maintained and peaceful. As a family with young children, the abundance of playgrounds and easy walking tracts are real winner. I can without a doubt say I love where I live!" says Michelle and Michael Galea

At a time when affordability remains one of the biggest barriers for first-home buyers, Redbank North Richmond is helping to ease the pressure. Buyers can secure their block at Cumberland Place with only a 5% deposit, making it easier for locals to take their first step into home ownership.

This approach is particularly important in a market where limited supply and rising costs have pushed many families further from the areas they grew up in. Demand is strong with 70% of the stage already sold.

With construction underway and completion drawing nearer, Cumberland Place represents both progress and promise. It’s part of a broader push to meet the urgent need for new housing in the Hawkesbury while preserving the character and community spirit that make the region so special.
