Luca is a proud student at Colo High School and a graduate of Kurrajong-Bilpin Little Athletics, where his athletic journey first began. He now trains under renowned coach Marilyn Pearson at Bankstown Sports Athletics, who has played a critical role in his development and continued success.
Behind the scenes, Luca is supported by a wide and deeply valued network of family, coaches, teachers and friends. His mum captured that support perfectly, describing him as:
“A humble, laid-back kid who works so hard to achieve his dreams — and we just happen to be along for the ride.”
In a heartfelt Facebook post, she shared her pride and acknowledged the many people who have helped guide Luca’s journey. Special thanks were extended to coach Marilyn Pearson, Kirsty Klein, the team at In2 Motion, as well as Mrs Cullen and Beau Plummer from Colo High School. She also expressed gratitude to everyone at Bankstown Sports Athletics for their ongoing support.
Luca’s training family and close friends were also recognised, with heartfelt thanks to Liv, Ryley, Cam and Tamara for their encouragement and for keeping him grounded throughout his rise.
Next Steps for Luca
With multiple CHS titles, state records and national success already to his name, Luca’s journey is only just beginning. The Hawkesbury community — along with everyone who has watched him grow from a young athlete into a rising star — stands proudly behind him as he steps into the next phase of his sporting career.
