The Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC) is set to gallop into the spotlight this August, hosting one of the nation’s most exciting equestrian showcases — the Waratah World Cup Showjumping Series — across two action-packed weekends.

Warm-Up Weekend: August 15–17, 2025
Waratah World Cup Show: August 21–24, 2025

Sanctioned as a CSI 1-W international competition*, the event attracts elite Australian and New Zealand riders, thrilling team challenges, and the high-pressure Grand Prix under Olympic-standard lights.

Elite Action on Show

From the Trans-Tasman Senior Teams Test on Thursday night, to the Young Rider Teams Test on Friday, and the Waratah Grand Prix CSI 1-W* on Saturday, the main show promises world-class competition.

It’s not just about the pros — the program features everything from 1.05m entry-level classes to 1.45m open divisions, plus junior, amateur, young rider, and young horse futurity events, giving emerging talent the chance to shine alongside the best.

Hawkesbury Riders in the Spotlight

For the Hawkesbury — home to premier equestrian operations like JPR Equestrian (James Paterson-Robinson), Taliana Equestrian (Katie and Nick Taliana), and Yandoo Park (the Winning family) — the Waratah Showjumping Series is personal.

Local favourites will be vying for honours, including Amateur Champion Elissa Schneider and a strong line-up of Hawkesbury riders keen to prove themselves on the national stage.

“We’re proud to see so much Hawkesbury talent competing against some of the best in the world,” said organisers. “It’s an incredible opportunity for our community to see Olympic-level riding up close.”

Free to Attend – VIP Available

General admission is free, making it the perfect family outing for sports fans, horse lovers, and anyone keen to see elite athletes in action. VIP packages, offering premium viewing and hospitality, can be booked via waratahshowjumping.com.au.
