Young people in the Hawkesbury looking to enter the workforce will have the opportunity to learn about employment pathways and local job opportunities at an upcoming Youth Employment Workshop in Richmond.
The workshop is being hosted by Richmond Community Services in partnership with Youth Employment Services (YES).
The session will take place on Thursday, 26 March from 3.30pm to 5pm at Richmond Community Services, 20 West Market Street, Richmond.
Supporting Young People into Work
The workshop aims to provide practical information and guidance for young people who are preparing to enter the workforce or considering different career pathways.
Participants will receive information about employment and training opportunities, as well as the support services available to help them become job-ready.
Organisers say the session is designed to give young people a clearer understanding of the options available locally and the steps they can take to move toward employment.
Learning About Local Opportunities
During the workshop, attendees will hear about:
- employment and training pathways
- programs that support young people seeking work
- local opportunities in the Hawkesbury region
- practical next steps for entering the workforce
The session also provides an opportunity for young people to ask questions and connect with organisations that assist with employment preparation.
Encouraging Youth Participation
Community organisations say events like this help ensure young people have access to information, guidance and support as they transition from school into employment or training.
The workshop forms part of ongoing efforts by local services to strengthen employment outcomes for young people in the Hawkesbury community.
