Gazette preparing extended report on Dogramaci acquittal
During the hearing of the charge against Hawkesbury City Councillor Eddie Dogramaci in Parramatta Local Court, a proposition was put to a Council administrative officer to the effect that the matter was “about getting Eddie”.
That proposition was made during questioning. It was not evidence accepted by the court and did not amount to a finding that Hawkesbury City Council, or any Council employee, had acted with an improper motive.
The NSW Online Registry records that the substituted charge of attempted fraud against Cr Dogramaci was dismissed on August 25, 2026, with the result “Not Guilty after hearing”. The proceeding is marked closed.
The case arose from a $4,109 reimbursement claim for information and communications technology equipment.
The Hawkesbury Gazette previously told readers that it would publish an extended report examining the acquittal, the evidence presented during the hearing and the circumstances surrounding Council’s handling of the reimbursement claim.
That report remains in preparation while the Gazette examines relevant documents and seeks responses from the individuals and authorities involved.
