Hawkesbury professional boxer Tyrell Adams will step back into the spotlight later this month when he takes on international opposition at the Fight International promotion at Sydney Event Centre.
The Windsor Box Fit Centre-trained featherweight is scheduled to face Zheng in an international catchweight contest on Saturday, 18 July, as part of a card featuring some of Australia's leading professional fighters.
The bout marks another important chapter in Adams' rapidly developing professional career.
Adams has established himself as one of the Hawkesbury's most accomplished young boxers. In late 2025 he claimed the Australian National Boxing Federation (ANBF) Australian Featherweight Championship with a commanding unanimous points victory, earning recognition as one of Australia's youngest national boxing champions.
Earlier this year Adams challenged for the IBO Oceania Featherweight title before suffering the first loss of his professional career against experienced Filipino boxer Sem Japet Enano.
Rather than slowing his momentum, the defeat has provided another valuable learning experience as the Windsor boxer looks to continue climbing the professional rankings.
Training out of Windsor Box Fit Centre, Adams has built a strong local following, with the gym regularly attracting supporters to his professional contests. His disciplined work ethic, technical boxing style and composure in the ring have earned him respect within Australian boxing circles.
A catchweight contest is fought at a mutually agreed weight outside the standard weight divisions, allowing competitors from slightly different weight classes to meet under negotiated conditions.
The upcoming Fight International event is expected to attract boxing fans from across New South Wales, with Adams once again carrying Hawkesbury hopes onto a major metropolitan fight card.
