Richmond RSL Sub-branch will once again lead the ANZAC Day march along West Market, Windsor, and East Market Streets to the Richmond War Memorial in Richmond Park. The procession begins at 2:30pm on Sunday 19 April 2026.
The march will be led by the Light Horse, veterans in jeeps, and the Hawkesbury District Band, followed by contingents from Richmond RSL Sub-branch, Windsor RSL Sub-branch, the National Servicemen’s Association, Descendants of Veterans, RAAF Base Richmond, military cadets, and community groups including scouts, guides, and local school children.
The ANZAC commemoration at the Richmond War Memorial starts at 3:00pm and will include the traditional Catafalque Party, keynote addresses, and the laying of veteran and community wreaths.
Veterans and Serving Personnel Participation:
Richmond RSL Sub-branch invites local veterans, ex-service members, and current serving personnel to march behind the Sub-branch banner. Descendants of veterans are also welcome to join the parade and, if they have medals, to wear them on the right-hand side. Community Participation:
Families and community members are encouraged to line the streets of Richmond to show support and recognise those who have served or are currently serving.
Dawn Service:
Richmond RSL Sub-branch will also hold a Dawn Service at the Richmond War Memorial, Richmond Park, from 5:00am on Saturday 25 April 2026. The service will include the Catafalque Party, keynote addresses, and wreath-laying. Covered seating will be available for dignitaries, veterans, and older family members, who are encouraged to arrive at least 20 minutes before the start.
Richmond RSL Sub-branch and the Richmond Club greatly honour the service and sacrifices of past and current military personnel and continue to ensure their proper recognition.
