Hawkesbury community organisations, sporting teams and individuals have until October 31 to apply for funding through Hawkesbury City Council’s Community Sponsorship Program.
The first round of the 2026–27 program opened on October 1, with support available for community activities, representative sporting and cultural participation, and facility hire.
Under the Resilient Hawkesbury category, community organisations can apply for grants of up to $3,000 for activities that help build a connected, healthy, inclusive and resilient community.
Potential projects include workshops, support groups and initiatives that bring people together.
The Participation category offers assistance to individuals and teams selected to represent the Hawkesbury at state, national or international sporting or cultural events.
Funding of $150 is available for individuals, while teams of five or more can apply for $750.
Not-for-profit groups can also seek help with venue costs through the Access to Community Facilities category.
Groups based in the Hawkesbury, or providing services to the area, can apply for a subsidy covering 50 per cent of the cost of hiring a Council or community facility, up to a maximum contribution of $750.
Council is encouraging applications covering a diverse range of activities.
Before submitting, applicants are encouraged to read the Community Sponsorship Program Strategy Document, assessment matrix and frequently asked questions to understand eligibility and how applications will be assessed.
