Richmond audiences can take a musical journey across Europe when the Macquarie Towns Symphony Orchestra presents Rhythms Across Europe on Sunday, 20 September.

The concert will feature music by Elgar, Mozart, Strauss and Brahms, bringing together melodies that have remained favourites across generations. The orchestra says the afternoon will also celebrate the contrasting rhythms of European music, from dances to waltzes.

For the Hawkesbury’s own orchestra, which has performed locally since 1972, the concert is another chance to share live orchestral music close to home. Friends, families and first-time concertgoers are welcome.

Rhythms Across Europe begins at 2pm on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at St Andrew’s Uniting Church, 25 West Market Street, Richmond. The event listing gives a finishing time of 4pm and says afternoon tea is included in the ticket price. Tickets are available online and, according to the orchestra, at the door.
