School Zone Changes Planned for Kellyville Roads

Monday, June 22 and Friday to July 31, weather permitting.

Motorists travelling through Kellyville are being advised of upcoming changes to school zone arrangements on President Road and Greenwood Road, with work scheduled to begin later this month.

Transport for NSW has announced that the existing 40km/h school zone near the former Brethren Public School on President Road will be removed following the school's closure.

The school, previously located at 11–13 President Road, is no longer operating, prompting a review of traffic management measures in the area.

As part of the changes, Transport for NSW will remove existing school zone signs and road markings on President Road and Greenwood Road and install new school zone signage and markings near properties at 12 and 13 Greenwood Road.

The work is expected to take place between Monday, June 22 and Friday, July 31, weather permitting.

Crews will be on site for up to three daytime shifts to complete signage changes and up to two night shifts to undertake road marking work.

Daytime work will be carried out between 7am and 4pm on weekdays, while night work is scheduled between 8pm and 5am from Sunday to Thursday evenings. No work will occur on Friday nights or Saturdays.

Temporary traffic controls will be in place during the works to ensure the safety of workers, motorists and pedestrians.

These measures will include lane closures, traffic controllers and temporary speed restrictions of 40km/h through work zones.

Transport for NSW is urging drivers to slow down, follow signage and obey the directions of traffic controllers while work is underway.

While the project is located outside the Hawkesbury, many local residents regularly travel through the Hills district for work, school and business, making the traffic changes relevant to Hawkesbury commuters.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time during the work period and stay informed through the Live Traffic NSW website and app.
